Columbus Museum of Art Wedding Photography \\ Alisa & Eden
It doesn’t happen too often. In fact, more times than not it doesn’t happen. Weddings don’t begin and end small. Start small. . .sure. However, in the end a wedding usually ends with whole family, extended family and networks of friends (work, high school, college, parent’s friends, etc). That is beautiful and there is power in numbers when it comes to showing support for what you are doing in marriage.
We did it. Our vast networks (some of whom I never met before and have not seen again since) showed up, showed support, and TO THIS DAY will recall and relive our wedding moments with us, as we sit side-by-side, breaking bread and sipping poison. There’s power in that.
The alternative is equally powerful, yet different. Take Alisa & Eden, for instance. They are two OSU professors choosing to keep things small. They choose themselves along with only their parents — small, cozy, intimate and uniquely them. Keeping up with that theme they decided to get married at The Columbus Museum of Art in a brand new exhibit called The Wonder Room; it’s a room crafted from yarn & fabric and built with the intention of play. OF PLAY! What a wonderful way to approach the beginning of marriage. Annihilate the beginning of marriage in light hearted play and deeply passionate love of each other & life. Right?
Right!
Soak it in. Have fun, play hard, love deeply and save the tedious heavy handed pieces of life for your older, less playful (hopefully not) self.
Hugs & high fives.
