Christine and Randall are a Chicago loving, Chicago living couple that both formed then legally sealed their love for one another here in Columbus. Before their wedding I could see them eating their way through Columbus via the glory of Instagram and both of their Instagram feeds, which I highly approve of. I also approve of their baseball team of choice (The Cubs) and found an unquenchable thirst of living vicariously through them and their Chicago lifestyle during the Cubs’ World Series run last season. But that’s that. . .
Like a lot of weddings Christine and Randall were enveloped with some close people to them and the feeling was palpable. It was true and authentic to their individual lives that transfused into what is now their collective life. It’s a beautiful thing. It’s undeniably tough, too. I wish that they never experience the toughest of tough but with little doubt in my mind they, as we all do, will bathe in the humanity of hard times and what it brings out of us. That’s a life. That’s the commitment to one another. It’s marriage — cliches aside, perpetual rose tinted glasses to the dirt.
It’s growth.
It’s building something, breaking it down at times to only strengthen it with continued growth.
